Valentines Day Week

Our week in review....  Besides taking this week off for the most part because one wee Bear has been pretty ill with a semi-kinda-not really--but might be a form of--cold/flu.  Doc didn't know what it i that has knocked us down.  He said he is pretty sure it isn't the flu, but its a bad bug making the rounds.....  Figures.

We spent time reading Fancy Nancy books, planing tea parties, making hearts, practicing letter sounds, and cuddling.  Lots of cuddle time.

Valentines she made for her three girl cousins.

Working so hard on her Valentine box

Recreating or rather an adaption of Jim Dine Hearts

In our homeschool this past week…
We made hearts.  Lots and lots of hearts.  Heart boxes, foam hearts, paper hearts, hearts colored with chalk pastels, hearts painted with paint, hearts drawn with pins, hearts hearts hearts.....  We also did some pattern review, practiced writing our letters better (A-H), cost estimations, but the biggest accomplishment this week thus far....  BEAR IS AN EEL!!!  She graduated up a level in swimming

Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…
Keep trucking and take breaks when you need it.  No use crying, on either end.  It really doesn't help the learning.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
Captain Bear
We have been pretty close to the house, but Bear and Hubs did venture to Seattle for the Boat Show a couple weeks ago and they had a fun adventure filled day.

My favorite thing this past week was...
Having a tea party with one little bear....

What’s working/not working for us…
100 Lessons..... either we just aren't there yet, or we don't like the method.....

Questions/thoughts I have…
I think some BIG changes are going to occur in our lives this year.  We need to gain extra living space or make the move......

Things I’m working on…
Not pushing spring....  I REALLY want to get started planing the garden!

How was your week?
