Supplies we used:
Chalk Pastels

Small Scraps of Multicolored paper cut in little "tiles"

Paper scraps.....  we have a pile we can use for lots of different things.

So have some fun!  This isn't just a great craft for Valentines Day, but every day!

  1. Thank you for sharing this post at Creative Learning. I had not heard of Jim Dine before reading this and now I think I will add him to our artists study next year :)

    1. Thank you! I neglected to go into his art, but we only briefly discussed him here, since it is a little bit much for a 5 yr old. I think we will study him more when she is a bit older. Thank you for visiting!

  2. What a sweet, beautiful craft! Your daughter did a great job!

    1. She loved it, thank you. She spent days afterwards recreating with black paper and chalks when she had free moments as well. I am so glad we were able to allow her that space to explore!

Thank you for taking a few moments to share your comments with me. It means a lot. Thank you!
