Adventures in Encouragement

There is this blog I stumbled upon; Adventures of D and V and Veronica (the V of D and V) has a little challenge going on.

I love challenges and jumped on board.  Her challenge was easy, contact her to be connected with a fellow blogger and find ways to encourage that person.  Study their blog and then by September 28th send a REAL letter (not an e-mail, but a real stick on the stamp and drive to the post office letter) of encouragement to your new friend.

The blogger I was linked up with is Amanda.  She is a young 20 something and fairly newly married.  She and her hubs work in industries not related to anything we do.  Here is her blog:  Interpreted by Me.   This is like having a pen pal but encouraging each other as we walk this road of life.  We live on opposite coasts and I am almost old enough to be her mother, but encouraging words and kindness is not bound by age or circumstances.
I am enjoying meeting her and feeling blessed by our encournters in encouragement thus far.

We can always encourage another, be friendly and kind to another, etc.  You never know when you might smile at someone and really make a difference.  I subscribe to the pay if forward idea.  We do something because it is right, not for what we can get out of it.  Maybe someday, we will get a smile or gentle hug when we need it, but we do it because we want to not because we can get something from it.
So, encourage someone today!

"Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you."

2 Corinthians 13:11

    1. Amen! I am reminded so often of God Word where he tells us to love on another. If there were more people treating each other with kindness and encouraging one another in love and faith, the world would be a much better place. Thank you gentle friend for visiting.
