July 20: 3 in 30 update

Linking up with Our Good Life's 3 in 30 Challenge.   The link up is here....

This will be short and quick, sorry gentle readers.  *smile* but we are preparing for Camping Adventure:  Round 2 and I spilled coffee all over my lap top at class and it's being a pill.  I am hoping and praying it dries out.  At least I think I was able to get the very important data off of it.  Lesson learned:  No matter how tired you are don't ever drink near your lap top.  EVER.

I worked a little bit this week in the basement.  I do have some before pictures but decided I would wait until the end to show them.  So be looking forward to that post in Early August.  I got a bit accomplished...  I also got a lot of my August Birthday gifts wrapped and ready to go to the recipients.  I think I have 7 August birthdays to remember...  WOW!

Saturday we cleaned the yard.  We hauled everything we remotely could easily find to take to the dump and we did so.  We still have some paint cans to recycle, but otherwise we took, gasp, 1140 pounds to the dump Saturday.  That did include our neighbors box spring they wanted to get rid off, but regardless... all the old lumber from the corner of the yard is gone.  We have a bit of yard reclaimed for play area and it looks a bit better.  I still haven't put up our privacy barrier things, but hopefully that will be done this coming week.

Walking took a back seat sadly.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I was in some discomfort and not feeling well at all, so the walking fell by the wayside as I was just focusing on running the house.  We will make up for it this weekend though with camping, and next week we will return to our evening and early morning explorations.
Two reasons to accomplish my goals cheerfully!
So, that was quick I know.... Happy tending gentle friends!

    1. It's useable with a plugges in key board... :-) But I do need something portable for classes, so gasp, if it doesn't work it self out I maybe looking for a decent cheap one, and then ONLY use it for classes.

The hubs and Bear use to fall asleep like that all the time. Its an old picture but one of my favs! Thank you!

  3. What a sense of accomplishment to get that much hauled away! It's nice when you have something to measure it by - like the weight of the trash or number of bags you got rid of. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your basement and the progress you made on it!

    1. I am so happy we can reclaim that, would I be bad to say it has been 5 years that the lumber has been piled there? *sigh* but we have it gone. I kept telling the hubs we might be able to use it for something..... LOL Like a hoarder!

    1. We had so much fun and really enjoy the completely away from the world time. No TV, no computer, and our daughter just dances around making up songs about nature all around us. I think we all retired to bed and were asleep before daark each night. It was very nice!
